Tales from the Trail: A Practical Guide to Touring Colleges

My journey to becoming an IEC college-tour enthusiast wasn’t traditional. When COVID hit, I was in my 24th year of teaching political science at our community college and had just started my IEC practice. When my campus shifted to fully remote classes, my retired husband and I hit the road in our RV, traveling from college to college. What began as a strategy to take advantage of reliable internet has grown into a passion. Over the last four years, I’ve toured more than 100 colleges in person, gathering insights I now use daily in my IEC practice.
