I have been working in college admissions for over 30 years, first as an alumna member of the Harvard and Northwestern Admissions Committees, and as an independent educational consultant since I founded College Knowledge Admissions Consulting in 2007. I have helped over 900 students from about 150 different high schools achieve their college dreams since I began consulting privately. While I specialize in helping high-achievers aspiring to selective colleges and universities, I have colleagues on my team whose specialties complement mine, so that we can collectively help a wide range of students. We work with students in the Chicago Metro area and nationally via Zoom. I earned a B.A. in Economics (1984) from Harvard and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance (1989) from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. I then spent 20 years in brand management and new products marketing, accumulating dozens of patents and inventing/launching the Hefty Zoo Pals line of interactive tableware for children, among many new product launches. I am a Professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (51³Ô¹Ï), founder/leader of a group of 125+ Chicagoland IECs, and Ex-Officio leader of the 51³Ô¹Ï Chicago Area Regional Group. In 2018, I was named Top North Shore Woman in Business – Education by 22nd Century Media.
