Terry Mady-Grove is a Certified Educational Planner. This certification is granted by the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners to consultants who meet stringent application requirements including a Master’s degree, specialized training, significant professional experience, involvement in professional organizations and the passing of a board-certified exam requiring both institutional and professional knowledge. Ms. Mady-Grove has an M.A. in Teaching English from Columbia University Teachers College. Prior to entering the field of college consulting, Ms. Mady-Grove was a founding partner of a law firm, with over 25 years of experience as an attorney, finely tuning negotiating and writing skills, as well as mentoring young attorneys. She visits a minimum of 25 colleges annually and keeps current through professional organization meetings and conferences. As a parent and a former Cornell University interviewer, Ms. Mady-Grove experienced that the college application process can be stressful.  She provides the buffer between the student and the parent, allowing the parent-child relationship to be a pleasant one in the high school years rather than a battleground. She helps the student put the best foot forward to highlight strengths during an exciting and formative time in a young adult’s life.
