Sydney Montgomery (Forbes 30 Under 30) is the Executive Director and Founder of Barrier Breakers, an education nonprofit that works with all students of all backgrounds but specializes in working with first-generation and marginalized students on the college and law school process. Barrier Breakers has a Give the Gift program where each college counseling package purchased enables Barrier Breakers to serve a student on Free and Reduced Meal Service (FARMS) for free. Sydney is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. She has worked with students on the college application process for 12 years. In addition to being named to the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Social Impact category, she is also a 2020 51³Ô¹Ï Making a Difference Awardee, a 2021 Counselor of the Year (PCACAC), a Kappa Alpha Theta 35 Under 35 awardee, and one of Women’s eNews 21 Leaders for the 21st Century. Sydney has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, Medium, and Inc., among others.
