As the managing partner of The Carnahan Group, I oversee work provided by our staff of consultants based across the United States and Europe. I constantly explore and implement innovative ways to support the needs of our range of clients. Staying relevant with ever-changing admissions trends and policies ensures that my team and I offer the best professional services possible.

I began my educational consulting career as an essay expert, and this remains one of my fortes as I have a strong background in copywriting and language studies through undergraduate pursuits at Southern Methodist University (SMU). Later, I honed my creative skills at Parsons School of Design, enabling me to guide students with visual portfolios. Additionally, while living in Italy for seven years, I expanded The Carnahan Group’s presence in Europe as an international admissions specialist.

The majority of my clients today are first-year college students, although I also provide admissions guidance for college transfer, graduate school and boarding school students.

Volunteer Roles: I offer college planning guidance to students through the nationally awarded nonprofit, Son of a Saint, as well as additional support to students from under-resourced backgrounds through local churches, synagogues, and community-based organizations.

Leadership Roles: I serve as Chair of 51³Ô¹Ï’s College Committee and former Co-Chair of 51³Ô¹Ï’s Gulf South Regional Group.

Professional Memberships: Independent Educational Consultants Association (51³Ô¹Ï), National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), and Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC).

I also earned the esteemed designation of Certified Educational Planner through AICEP and a College Counseling Certificate from University of California – Irvine.
