I work with all kinds of students across the U.S. (as well as military dependents abroad) and have particular expertise in advising military dependents and applicants to service academies and ROTC scholarships.

My expertise with military-affiliated students stems from being:
– a current Naval Academy Blue & Gold Officer (admissions liaison)
– the spouse of an active Marine Corps officer with 30 years of service
– the parent of a Midshipman at the Naval Academy
– the parent of a student who used transferred Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits
– an IEC who has successfully supported applicants to the Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Military Academy (West Point), several Senior Military Colleges, and Navy, Air Force, and Army ROTC scholarships
– someone who is personally familiar with the challenges and opportunities college-bound military dependents face and is able to ease their concerns and help them understand and make the best use of GI Bill benefits
– the founder and chair (2023-25) of 51³Ô¹Ï’s Military-Affiliated Students and IECs affinity group
– a 51³Ô¹Ï Conference presenter (2024) on the topic of Guiding Students Who Want To Become Military Officers
– a presenter to ScholarMatch college coaches on How Military Service Can Help Students Pay for College (2023)

I also have experience helping homeschooled applicants. I’ve homeschooled a child through high school and the college admissions journey and was the c0-chair of 51³Ô¹Ï’s Homeschool affinity group from 2022 to 2024.
