Before joining McMillan Education in 2010, Kim guided students in their academic journeys as an educator, coach and administrator in schools and colleges for 25 years. Her extensive expertise informs her school and college counseling work with a wide range of domestic and international students seeking educational opportunities in the US or abroad, from the student-athlete to the traditional candidate. A former All-American athlete in two sports, Kim’s successes athletically have been mirrored by a life-long passion for academia that is the cornerstone of the consummate student-athlete. Kim received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in Education from The College of William and Mary, and completed her doctoral work in Educational Leadership with a concentration in motivation and student well-being at Northeastern University.
