ThriveAdmission helps students (& their families) navigate the college journey by finding best-fit schools where students can thrive and crafting the best, most authentic applications and essays. Katie Thatcher is a generalist, but tends to work with strong students from large, public high schools. Most of ThriveAdmission’s students are applying to competitive liberal arts colleges. Katie’s strengths include pulling out a student’s essence and helping to craft essays. She grew up in Minnesota and was a Political Science major at Carleton College (’91) with concentrations in East Asian Studies and Political Economy. Katie spent a term studying abroad at the King’s College Economics Seminar, Cambridge University, England. She graduated from Northeastern University School of Law (’94). After five years as a big-firm, corporate lawyer, she made a switch and has been working with students ever since!
