I have done a wide range of group advising multiple times, including in-person info sessions with parents (60 parents), online WeChat group presentations (as many as 5,000 parents in these WeChat groups) about K 12 education in Canada and school info sessions, and partnering with social network platforms in China offering live stream presentations on education and school admission info sessions (7,000 parents) over the past six years. By offering these presentations and one-on-one consultation, I feel accomplished not only because they hired me to help the families and their kids apply for their dream schools (independent schools), but providing the most accurate and useful information whereas there are so much wrong or false information or statement confusing families who are thinking about supporting their children to go abroad to study. Often, I feel a strong sense of accomplishment when I thought about or talked to the students and their parents whom I met from these online groups in the first place and then hired me as their independent educational consultant, and now actively thrive in their dream schools that I helped them apply to.
