At Big J Educational Consulting, we guide families through the complexities of the college application process. Our individualized approach helps students identify where they want to apply, take charge of the process, and stand out in the applicant pool.

Before becoming an educational consultant in 2012, I worked for over 30 years in the film and television industry as a cinematographer and chief lighting technician. Working side by side with hundreds of enormously talented people, I learned that there are unlimited pathways to creative and professional success.

We are experts at working with students interested in every area of undergraduate study, including the liberal arts, STEM, business, film, fine arts, architecture, design, drama, and musical theater (theatre).

We are also nationally known for our expertise in college affordability and financial aid, and highly experienced in international applications and admissions.

Our objective for each of our students is to help them find colleges and universities where they will be happy, challenged, and successful.
