Jackie Woolley, Ph.D. of Summit College Counseling works with students and their families on academic and activity planning, testing advice, building a balanced college list, application completion, activities resumes, personal statements and essays, applying to selective colleges, early action/early decision, and transfer options. Her college counseling practice is diverse academically, socioeconomically, and geographically. She is comfortable working with a wide range of students including those who have learning differences and mental health issues as well as art students, athletes, international students, and high performing students. She works in-person and remotely. Her goal is to make the college application process a positive learning experience focused on self-reflection and personal growth to help students find the colleges that fit them best academically, socially, emotionally, and financially. Jackie started her career as a clinical psychologist in private practice specializing in cognitive therapy with adults, children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders. She has a B.A. in Experimental Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a M.A. and Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology at Los Angeles. She also has a Certificate in College Counseling from the University of California San Diego.
