I help public, private, and home school clients create clear, concise, compelling applications to a balanced list of right-fit colleges & universities. My expertise in essay coaching includes teaching more than 700 high school students, as well as helping train and mentor a dozen new Brave Writer‚Ñ¢ essay instructors. Within 51³Ô¹Ï, I founded the homeschool affinity group, served as faculty for the Summer Training Institute, and presented at the 51³Ô¹Ï Fall conference. I was honored to be one of 51³Ô¹Ï’s inaugural “Making a Difference” award winners. My co-authored book College Unmazed: Homeschool Edition was published in 2024. I homeschooled my own five children from 1999-2021 and served in numerous capacities within various homeschool groups.
The college admissions process can be less stressful and more thoughtful. I guide students and their families to uncover key strengths, assess their top factors of college fit, find colleges that meet those priorities, and relay their authentic stories in their own voices. Each month, I travel to colleges and universities to keep my knowledge current and sharp. Each week, I engage in multiple in-person or virtual sessions related to college admissions. My ongoing professional development benefits the families I’m blessed to work with.
