NSCC provides individual, comprehensive guidance throughout the college preparation, selection and application process. NSCC will work with students beginning as early as 8th grade starting with our pre-college advising services to help our students build their high school curriculum and discover interesting extracurricular activities and volunteer opportunities. During the early stages, we will also begin to develop a standardized testing plan. All of these areas will be continuously reviewed and monitored throughout the student’s high school career to ensure that the focus matches the needs of that particular student. NSCC helps students through a very individualized college search process, administering various assessment tools and interactive games to help us build a completely personalized and detailed “best fit” college list for each student. NSCC then guides students through the college application process with the same comprehensive hands-on approach and level of support that we employ since day one. We take the pressure off the student (as well as the parents) by developing a very detailed timeline for each application, and we work closely with the student to ensure every deadline is met.
