Ms. Scott is a Furman Fellow of The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and recipient of The Outstanding Educator Award from the NY Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development. A former member of the NACAC NCAA Advisory Committee and the Current Trends and Future Issues committee she served as President of the African American Caucus for six years. Ms. Scott was a member of the NY State Legislative Advisory Panel of the College Board and first elected to be Regional Representative and later a National Representative to the Guidance and Admission Council.
A former Assistant Principal at August Martin, Stuyvesant, and the Bronx High School of Science and Assistant to the Chancellor of the NYC Public Schools, she was then an admissions officer at the University of Buffalo and later served ten years as the Senior Associate Director of College Counseling, Academic Affairs and Diversity Coordinator at The Masters School NY
Ms. Scott provides workshops to community based organizations and schools as requested. She is a specialist with underserved populations and a member of NACAC, NYSACAC, and The Overseas ACAC. Ms. Scott is currently the college specialist at LaGuardia HS for Music & the Performing Arts in NYC.
