I have a passion for working with students to make them feel successful as they strive towards their goals and aspirations. As a former educator in both public and independent schools, I have the experience and drive to help students and their parents through the often confusing and stressful college selection process. I hold a B.S. degree in Education from Vanderbilt University and a M.Ed. in Education from Mercer University. I received my Certificate in College Counseling from Rice University and am an Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (51³Ô¹Ï), the Higher Educational Consultants Association (HECA), as well as the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). I believe it is my job to make the college search less stressful, more transparent, enjoyable, and rewarding. I carefully listen to both student and parent needs to create an individualized plan, with realistic timelines and goals. I also firmly believe this process is best when it is student driven. I allow students to take ownership of the process, with support and guidance, to result in a selection of colleges that best align with the student’s academic, social-emotional, and financial needs.
