Avonna Swartz

Dr. Swartz relies on over 20 years of consulting experience to help 9th through 12th-grade students establish a successful admissions strategy that includes choosing the right fit school and develop a cohesive application that differentiates them from other competitive applicants. Avonna founded The College Planner, LLC in 2016 while living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her mission is to provide one-on-one, customized college counseling to students and their families. After returning home to Houston in 2019, Dr. Swartz joined Bright Futures Consulting where she supports clients nationwide. She is the former director of the Yale National Initiative Teachers Institute at The University of Tulsa and taught classes at TU and The University of Houston. Avonna lives in Houston with her husband and loving Australian Shepherd, Rudy.
