I enjoy working with middle school and high school-aged children to help them to realize their best potential as scholars, athletes, artists, and citizens. My goal is to help students to identify their aptitudes and interests and to find schools where they will thrive. Believing that the process itself is at least as important as the outcome, I help students to gain a better understanding of who they are, where their strengths lay, and what they value deeply. In my work with college-bound clients, I encourage them to take increasing ownership of their college search process, to become increasingly self-sufficient, and to gain confidence and competence as they manage the many tasks inherent in that process. For the students I guide through the school placement process, I focus on helping them to understand their learning styles, to identify what is most important to them in their secondary school experience, and to evaluate the strength of the schools\\\’ programs in these areas. I encourage parents to think beyond just the classroom as they assess whether or not a school is the best fit for their child.
