Since 2011, as both the college counselor at a small Waldorf high school and as an independent educational consultant, I have worked with a wide range of students, including first generation, students with a learning difference and those who seek a less traditional college experience, as well as Chinese students studying here in the US. I offer very personal, imaginative and reassuring guidance to support my clients throughout the entire college admissions process, including help finding interesting summer internships, jobs and pre-college programs. With twenty years experience as an educator working with teenagers, I bring insight and empathy to my work with students and help them find affordable colleges where they will thrive, both academically and socially. I regularly attend conferences for college counselors and each year I visit approximately thirty US and Canadian college campuses.
I meet with students both in my office in Shelburne, Vermont as well as via Skype, and I offer packages for sophomores, juniors, seniors and college transfer students.
