I’ve devoted my career to working with people facing transitions — those forks in the road — by helping them discover their unique gifts and putting them to good use. I hold a BA from Northwestern University in German and Business and a Masters in Public Administration and Policy from the University of Nevada Reno. I earned my college counseling certificate from UCLA in 2013, which is when I started my own practice. I’m the author of Go Your Own Way: 7 Student-Centered Paths to the Best College Experience and co-author of Your Hidden Genius: The Science-Backed Strategy to Uncovering & Harnessing Your Innate Talents. I am a regular contributor and speaker on topics ranging from college admissions to preparing for the future of work. I’ve spoken from high-school gyms to large stages, but most of what I do (and love) is have one-to-one chats with clients. I also consult with schools, districts, and profits. I work from my home in Santa Cruz, CA, where I live with my husband and daughter.
