Adam Max is a student-centered college advisor who combines direct admissions experience with strategic marketing expertise to help students stand out in the application process. Adam is the former Associate Dean of Admission at Emory University where, for 7 years, he directly evaluated applications and led teams in a holistic review process. After receiving an MBA from the University of Texas, Adam worked for 20 years in strategic marketing and market research leadership roles for General Mills and then in Boulder as a branding consultant for some of the most well known brands in the food, beverage, retail and hospitality industries. Adam is a member of the Independent Education Consultants Association and College Consultants of Colorado.

Adam’s return to the college admission process is driven by a goal to guide and support families in demystifying the admission process and helping students bring their best (and most differentiated) self to the journey. The ultimate goal is to help students find their right fit for this incredibly exciting time in their life, while taking the burden off the family so that these precious years can be enjoyed to the fullest.

Adam lives in Boulder with his wife, Jenny, and their spirited teenagers, Owen and Audrey. When not coaching students, he’ll be on the golf course, out for a run, or playing guitar.
