Working one-on-one , Abbie helps the student identify his/her goals and interests, to build a list of colleges that suit him/her, to manage a complex and stressful process, and to make healthy and confident decisions about higher education. Together, we brainstorm essay topics and thoroughly review every application to be sure that the student presents in the most positive way. We set up a timeline for managing all aspects of the college process, including standardized tests, letters of recommendation, college visits, and completing the applications to best represent the student in his/her own voice. When approached in this way, the college process need not be intimidating, but rather serve as an exhilarating opportunity for the student to grow in self-knowledge and self-confidence.
