51³Ô¹Ï Policy for 2026 Events
The Independent Educational Consultants Association is committed to providing a professional, respectful, welcoming, and safe environment for all event participants. This policy applies to all conferences, forums, tours, webinars, meetings, networking events, and related online platforms sponsored or hosted by the organization. By attending or participating in an event, participants agree to abide by this policy and any additional event or venue requirements.
Aligned with the expectations outlined in , all participants—including members, staff, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and guests—are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. The actions listed below are not an exhaustive list of behaviors considered inappropriate but are merely offered for illustrative purposes. A person may be removed for any of the following reasons:
- Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or bullying by words, gestures, body language, or any type of menacing behavior
- Threatening, abusive, or disruptive behavior, including angry or vulgar language, swearing, name-calling, or shouting
- Unwelcome or inappropriate physical contact
- Deliberate disruption of sessions or events
- Unauthorized recording or distribution of materials where prohibited
- Retaliation against individuals who report concerns
- Excessive intoxication or unsafe behavior
- Failing to follow the instructions of 51³Ô¹Ï staff or facilities personnel
- Violation of 51³Ô¹Ï’s Principles of Good Practice or policies
- Any other reason deemed appropriate in the sole discretion of 51³Ô¹Ï
These expectations apply equally to in-person and virtual participation, including chats, discussion platforms, social media interactions related to the event, and electronic communications.
Participants are encouraged to report concerns to event staff or 51³Ô¹Ï leadership. The organization reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of this policy, including removal from an event without refund and restriction from future participation. Consistent with its Bylaws, the 51³Ô¹Ï Board of Directors reserves the right to impose consequences for misbehavior up to and including the termination of membership or other limitations on receiving the benefits of membership. Such consequences would be in addition to any appropriate remedies under civil or criminal law.
