Resources
General resources for those who are newer to this work, to this community, and who may need to think about how supporting LGBTQ+ students is in harmony with their faith-based traditions or long-held beliefs. Also, great resources for those who are deeper into the work, including a resource from the ACLU which is tracking anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in the United States.
This is a great collection of resources for those interested in learning more about different identities in the LGBTQ+ community, how to be a better ally, and creating safer spaces in schools.
Thanks to Justin Wang for providing this fact sheet from The National SOGIE Center. If youve been wondering about the difference between these terms, start here!
This is another great resource, especially for those who are newer to this work. Designed for parents and friends, it includes resources for those who might be struggling with LGBTQ+ acceptance in conjunction with their faith traditions.
Thanks to Justin Wang for suggesting this resource. Their Helpful Guides and Resources page seem particularly useful.
This is a great resource if you are interested in politics. You will notice how many bills were introduced by each state (including in PA) and how many of them were defeated (none in PA passed). Gives us a good sense of how important our down ballot voting is.
